Listening July 2024 I love Karen

I've seen some fairly recent interviews with Richard. He lost this beautiful woman in his life way too soon. I've heard/read that she protected him from bullies when they were younger. Kinda like a "Big" lead sister.

Her presentation/demeanor, her sense of humor and simple beauty. Everything aligned perfectly for everyone to see.

To some this song brings joy and happiness and to others it only reminds them of the loved ones we've lost and can't celebrate the holidays with them anymore. I still love this song and it's among my favorite Christmas tunes but it's also one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.

This is the only version I can think of that could rival Judy Garland's reading. Karen's voice is like a warm consoling hug that wipes your eyes and loves you unconditionally.

When I was young, I was falling love with Carpenters music. She has a very attractive voice. But recently I could know that she died in very young age. I am so sorry I can’t hear her real voice. RIP in heaven..
